With money leaving local economies across Ireland to service debt and significant drops in local authority revenues, towns such as Dundalk, Ennis and Kilkenny are investigating the possibility of bringing in electronic currencies to keep money circulating locally, as Richard Douthwaite reveals.
Not only does Construct Ireland have the highest circulation of
any construction industry magazine in Ireland, and by a clear distance.
It's also the most widely read green magazine, and the fastest growing
magazine of any kind over the last twelve months, with circulation for
2008/09 up 11.4% on the previous year.
Construct Ireland’s circulation is independently audited by the Audit Bureau of
Circulations
(ABC) . According to the ABC, Construct Ireland’s
average
audited circulation (1 July 2008 – 30 June
2009) averages 7,458 per edition. The target for audited circulation of
Construct Ireland for the
2009/10 audit is in excess of 8,000 copies.
Roughly 6,000 copies
are distributed to our devoted readership of key figures involved in
sustainable building including architects, engineers, developers,
builders,
BER assessors, renewable energy and sustainable building technology
suppliers, and relevant
local authority figures, along with circa 3,600 copies distributed to
selected
newsagents through Eason’s and Newspread.
Construct Ireland is the official magazine of ÉASCA , the
Environmental and Sustainable
Construction Association, an organisation which Construct Ireland
played a key
role in founding.
